CECT P168C - This New, Upgraded Quad Band IPhone Clone Allows For Two Sim Cards Running at Once

The CECT P168+ (quad band version) has been a best seller for quite some time. This plus model took what every one loved about the original iClone and added the 850 band, commonly used in the United States for some areas of AT&T. Additionally, the manufacturer upgraded the camera and firmware and added an upgraded web cam.

For Lack Of A Better Term, The New CECT P168C Is A Customizable Quad Band (Depending Upon Your Country / Location): The new C model (also know as the P168++) is the newest, upgraded model of the previous quad band version. Technically, it supports the 850, 1800, 1900, and 900 MHZ bands, but this doesn't really tell the whole story. What will generally happen is that the seller will set the phone depending on where you live. For example, if you are in Canada or the United States, you'll be given a 850 / 1800 / 1900 Mhz phone. If you live in Asia, parts of Latin America, or other international countries, you'd generally be given a phone set to 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHZ.

The P168C mobile phone can be set to whatever band you need or the one used by your provider by using engineering mode on the phone. Most sellers will automatically take care of this for you.

Standard Features On The New C Model iClone, Plus Dual Sim Standby: Other than the quad band issue, the feature which gets the most attention on the P168++ is the fact that you can run two sim cards at one time. For example, let's say you have one sim card from T Mobile and another from AT&T. You would be able to talk on your T Mobile sim (or browse the net, email, etc.) and could then also receive a call from an AT&T caller at the same time. This really appeals to business people, students, and entrepreneurs who receive a lot of calls but want to have the ability to surf the web or complete tasks without worrying about a missed call.

Of course, the CECT P168C has all of the standard features of the original iClone plus. You can: surf the web; email and text; listen to MP3s and MP4s, use Bluetooth; and take photos and video (this phone has a 2.0 mega pixel digital camera and web cam.) Also, the C model is upgraded with voice recording, an e-book reader, and a stylus. It also has the flow touch or easy touch interface and it can also serve as a mini hard drive as it connects to your computer via USB for the easy transfer of files and information. It can support up to 2GB of memory.

It's very interesting to watch these iPhone clones evolve. The speed at which these overseas are able to roll out new models continues to amaze me, but I think the manufacturers are still (and will always be) focused on providing features that Apple and other American manufacturers currently do not.

Price wise, the CECT P168C is almost always under $150, sometimes closer to the $100 range, depending on where you look. I don't think that is bad at all considering the price of the original iClone is sometimes still similar to this.
